DZ P&D Driver — Daytime Monday–Friday, Owen Sound

Our company Inc. is hiring a DZ driver for local pickup and delivery runs around Owen Sound and nearby areas. This is a full-time, permanent daytime role with a federally regulated LTL/FTL and warehousing carrier.

What you'll do

• Run daily local pickup and delivery routes on a set schedule

• Perform pre-trip and post-trip DVIR inspections using the ELD/Samsara system

• Load, secure and handle freight, including LTL shipments

• Keep dispatch updated on delays or any issues on the road

• Fill out accurate paperwork, including BOLs, manifests and dangerous goods documents where needed

• Follow company safety rules and federal trucking regulations

• Represent the company professionally at every customer stop

Schedule

• Daytime shift starting at 7:30 AM, Monday through Friday

• Full-time, permanent position

Pay and benefits

• Pay starts from $45,000.00 per year

• Benefits kick in after your probationary period, including dental care and life insurance

Requirements

• Valid DZ licence with a clean driver's abstract

• At least 3 years of commercial driving experience

• Solid knowledge of Ontario roads and the local area

• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and help with freight handling

• Dependable, on time and safety-minded

• ELD and load securement experience is a plus

• Good communication skills for working with customers and teammates

• Basic mechanical know-how for vehicle upkeep and troubleshooting is preferred
