DZ Manual Driver, Cross-Border — $25.00/hr, Mon-Fri Days

Better Together Group is staffing a DZ driver for Lodestar, working out of the Burlington terminal on a full-time temporary basis. You'll run local and regional routes in a standard-transmission straight truck, with occasional trips across the US border.

Pay

• Starting at $25.00 per hour

• Overtime kicks in after 40 hours in a week

Schedule

• Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM

• No weekend or overnight work

What you'll haul and do

• Drive DZ-class straight trucks with manual transmission on your assigned routes

• Check your vehicle before and after each trip to confirm it's safe and compliant

• Load, strap down, and unload freight at stops

• Keep trip logs, logbooks, and delivery paperwork up to date

• Stay in touch with dispatch about progress, delays, or problems on the road

• Follow MTO rules, Hours of Service limits, and company safety standards

• Cross into the United States when needed, keeping your documents and eligibility current

• Treat every customer professionally

Requirements

• Valid DZ licence with a clean record

• At least 2 years of verifiable DZ driving experience

• Comfortable driving a manual transmission truck

• Clean CVOR and driver's abstract

• Valid passport and clearance to travel into the US

• Solid grasp of Ontario traffic laws, MTO rules, and HOS requirements

• Able to handle physical work like loading and unloading freight

• WHMIS certified, or willing to get certified

• Reliable, on time, and able to work without close supervision
