DZ Hazardous Waste Driver — Hydro-Blasting Industrial Services

Our company in Kitchener, ON is looking for a DZ driver to handle industrial services work, picking up and hauling liquid and solid hazardous waste between customer sites. You'll run vacuum trucks, box trucks and other equipment suited to your license, and the role is best suited to someone open to doing high-pressure water blasting at 15,000-40,000 psi.

What you'll do

• Pick up, haul and drop off hazardous waste loads, loading and unloading trucks as needed

• Secure cargo properly and follow safe-loading practices and applicable transport laws

• Position trucks for loading and unloading, working with signals from the loading crew

• Carry out high-pressure water blasting in the 15,000-40,000 psi range

• Inspect your vehicle and load before, during and after each trip to confirm everything is safe and secure

• Keep required paperwork current, including logbooks, bills of lading and manifests, on paper or electronically

• Follow hours-of-service, dangerous goods, customs, weights and dimensions, and health and safety rules

• Flag any mechanical issues, accidents, violations or vehicle damage to your supervisor

• Clean up debris left behind from loading or unloading

• Deal directly with customers and coworkers, and train others on the job when needed

Requirements

• Valid Commercial Driver's License, manual transmission

• Certificate from a recognized truck driving school

• Willing or able to perform high-pressure water blasting between 15,000 and 40,000 psi

• Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors

• Able to lift 75+ lbs and handle physical, hands-on tasks

• Mechanically minded, with solid organizational and communication skills

• Able to stay calm and professional under pressure in a fast-moving environment

• Available for overtime, weekend shifts and a weekly on-call rotation
