DZ Front-End Waste Truck Driver — $27–$30/hr

This is a DZ driving role collecting solid waste with front-end trucks in North York (West End) or Pickering. You'll run set routes starting at 6 AM, with schedules either Monday to Friday or Tuesday to Saturday.

Pay

• $27.00 to $30.00 per hour

• Overtime kicks in after 50 hours

What you'll do

• Complete pre-trip and post-trip vehicle checks

• Operate front-end trucks on assigned routes to pick up and haul solid waste

• Keep the truck clean and within legal standards

• Coordinate with Dispatch and your Route Supervisor to keep things running smoothly and customers satisfied

• Log your work using Fleet Mind and fill out route paperwork accurately

• Flag any problems or incidents to your Route Supervisor

Working conditions

• Maneuver commercial trucks around yards and dealer lots

• Navigate tight spots with overhead obstacles, including plazas, alleys and loading docks

• Work outdoors in all kinds of weather

• Handle pickups and deliveries on a tight schedule

Requirements

• Class DZ licence

• At least 1 year running roll-off and/or front-load trucks

• Comfortable driving both manual and automatic transmissions

• Skilled at maneuvering and backing up commercial trucks

• Clean CVOR and driver's abstract covering the last 24 months (abstract dated within the last 30 days)

• Able to lift up to 60 lbs and work outside

• Strong work ethic with a focus on customer service

• Comfortable reading, writing and filling out reports
