DZ Food Service Delivery Driver — $25.00–$26.00/hr

Morton Food Service, part of Morton Wholesale Ltd. in Woodstock, ON, needs a DZ or AZ licensed driver to run food service delivery routes. You'll handle hand-bombed orders to customers, representing the Morton brand along the way.

Pay

• $25.00-$26.00 per hour

• Overtime pay available

Schedule

• Full-time, permanent position

• Monday to Friday, morning shifts

• 8 and/or 10 hour shifts, with holiday work sometimes required

• Longer hours may be needed when delivery volume or the season demands it

What you'll haul

• Routes change daily and follow a set schedule by day of the week

• Orders are hand-bombed, from 3-5 up to 30+ boxes or bags per stop

• Individual items run from 1 lb up to 50 lbs

• Some stops involve ramps or stairs, and product must be placed in freezer, refrigerator or dry storage areas as needed

What you'll do

• Deliver orders accurately and on time using an electronic proof-of-delivery scanner

• Record credits correctly when customers return product

• Complete pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and flag any safety issues to your supervisor right away

• Follow MTO and company safety rules on the road

• Build strong relationships with customers through good service

• Work well both on your own and as part of a team

Requirements

• Valid DZ or AZ license

• Clean driver's abstract and CVOR

• At least 2 years of delivery driving experience (1 year minimum accepted, 2 years preferred)

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Background in customer service

• Able to lift up to 50 lbs

• Self-motivated and comfortable working with minimal supervision

• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
