About this job
Our company in Etobicoke needs someone who can both run dispatch and get behind the wheel of a DZ flatbed. You'll split your time between coordinating loads in the office and handling deliveries yourself. This is a full-time, permanent position with early starts and every night home.
Pay
- $28.00-$31.00 per hour, depending on your experience and qualifications
Schedule
- Monday through Friday, 6:00am to 3:00pm
- You're home every day
What you'll do
- Keep drivers and yard crew organized and on schedule
- Take material orders and book delivery and pickup times
- Get on the road yourself in a DZ flatbed to move construction materials
- Help load and unload freight, put together shipping paperwork, and keep inventory counts current
- Arrange truck upkeep and maintain dispatch logs
Requirements
- Current Ontario DZ licence with Z air brake endorsement, with a clean driving history
- Hands-on experience running commercial trucks and dropping off at job sites
- Some background in building materials, construction, logistics, or transportation
- Solid familiarity with GTA roadways
- Comfortable lifting as much as 50 lbs and working outside
- A plus if you also hold an AZ licence or have forklift experience
