About this job
Our company needs a local dump truck driver experienced with Tri-Axle and Pony Dump trucks to haul aggregates, asphalt, soil and other construction materials around job sites. You'll be home every night on this full-time local route.
Pay
- $25.00–$40.00 per hour, based on experience
- Scheduled for about 40 to 50 hours a week
Home time
- Local routes with daily return home
What you'll haul
- Aggregates, asphalt, soil and other construction materials using Tri-Axle and Pony Dump trucks
Requirements
- At least 1 year behind the wheel of a Tri-Axle or Pony/End Dump truck
- Valid AZ or DZ licence and a clean driving abstract
- Solid grasp of aggregate hauling, dump operations and related safety rules
- Dependable, on time, and comfortable with daily local routes
- Strong communication and time management
- Basic mechanical know-how is a plus
What you'll do
- Drive Tri-Axle and Pony Dump trucks between job sites
- Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections
- Load and unload materials with correct weight distribution and secure tie-down
- Keep accurate logs, delivery tickets, fuel records and inspection paperwork
- Follow traffic and safety rules at all times
- Stay in touch with dispatch and site supervisors on delivery timing
- Flag any vehicle damage or incidents to management right away
- Handle minor truck upkeep when needed
