DZ Driver / Shop Technician — $28–$35/hr

Our company in Guelph, ON is hiring for a combined driving and shop role. You'll spend part of your time behind the wheel of a DZ-licensed flat-bed tilt-and-load truck and a water tank truck, moving equipment and materials to and from jobsites, and the rest of your time working as a shop technician in Guelph, keeping vehicles and equipment running.

Pay

• $28.00-$35.00 per hour

What you'll haul

• Equipment and materials via flat-bed tilt and load truck, picked up and dropped off at job sites

• Water tank truck runs

What you'll do

• Operate and tow trailers and equipment on an as-needed basis

• Run pre-trip and post-trip checklists on trucks and equipment

• Keep your electronic log book current and compliant with MTO rules

• Support the shop crew on repairs and servicing of pumps, engines and other machinery

• Handle oil and filter changes and keep accurate service records

• Keep the shop area clean and in order

Requirements

• Valid Class DZ license and a clean drivers abstract

• At least 5 years behind the wheel with a Class D license

• Solid understanding of how to secure a load properly

• High school diploma or GED is a plus

• Vocational, college or technical training is a plus

• An asset if you hold trade certification in Heavy Equipment, Automotive, Electrical or Welding

• Able to lift up to 50lb
