DZ Delivery Driver — No Overnight Routes

Our company, a pet food and accessories distributor based in Wellesley, ON, is hiring a full-time delivery driver for its company fleet serving retail pet stores across Central and Southwestern Ontario. You will handle deliveries, customer interactions, and routine vehicle checks as part of a growing logistics team.

What you'll haul

• Pet food, supplies and accessories, delivered from the warehouse to retail stores

Schedule

• Day shift, Monday to Friday, no weekends

• No overnight routes

• Overtime after 44 hours, or as needed due to route, weather or traffic conditions

What the job involves

• Planning routes and keeping to delivery schedules

• Maneuvering the truck for loading and unloading

• Collecting and confirming delivery instructions, plus cheques, cash and credit request forms from stores

• Checking the vehicle for mechanical or safety concerns and completing preventive maintenance

• Logging driving hours, kilometers, and keeping fuel and toll receipts

• Reporting any defects, accidents or violations

• Following all truck driving laws (size, weight, routing, parking, break periods) and company procedures

• Delivering strong customer service to store staff

Requirements

• DZ or AZ license

• Previous experience driving as a DZ or AZ truck driver

• Solid interpersonal and customer service abilities

• Comfort using GPS, AVL units, CB radios and similar on-board technology

• Strong working knowledge of Canadian trucking regulations

• Clean driver's abstract

• Ability to adapt and plan ahead for issues like traffic or weather
