DZ Delivery Driver — From $27/hr Plus Benefits

Our company, a major ground water pump distributor serving Ontario and the Maritimes, needs a DZ Delivery Driver at its Hastings, ON location. You'll run local delivery routes and handle the paperwork and vehicle care that come with the job.

Pay

• Starting from $27.00 per hour

Schedule

• Full-time, permanent position

• Five days a week, with some overtime expected

• Shift begins at 5:00 am

Routes and equipment

• Deliveries run between Belleville and Bowmanville, and north to Haliburton

• You'll operate a 5 ton flatbed or cube van, a 3 ton flatbed, or a one ton van depending on the day

What you'll do

• Follow all rules around safe driving, hours of service, cargo transport, and workplace safety

• Keep dispatch records, logs, and delivery paperwork accurate and up to date

• Plan your route and gather the right documents for each load, including bills of lading and invoices

• Inspect your vehicle and load before, during, and after each trip

• Stay in touch with dispatch as planned

• Secure cargo properly and report any issues with the vehicle, a delivery, or a customer

• Handle basic vehicle cleaning and minor repairs to keep it in good working order

Requirements

• Valid DZ licence

• Clean driver's abstract

• At least 1 year of delivery driving experience

• Able to lift up to 60 lbs

• Experience running a Moffett forklift is a plus, but training is provided

• Able to reliably commute to or relocate to Hastings, ON
