DZ Delivery Driver — Building Materials

Join Shoemaker Drywall Supplies in Edmonton, AB, delivering building materials to job sites and helping with hands-on unloading alongside customers and crews.

What you'll do

• Haul materials to the sites your customers specify.

• Keep yourself and everyone around you safe on the road and on site.

• Talk with customers, coworkers and trade crews in a professional way.

• Stay in touch with dispatch and help sort out problems as they come up.

• Get your truck ready to reload and lend a hand to the warehouse team.

• Double-check that loads are secure and match what was ordered.

• Represent the company well in every interaction.

• Stick to all rules, laws and company procedures.

Requirements

• Valid Class 3 / DZ license with a clean driving record.

• Solid verbal and written communication.

• Comfortable with basic math.

• Basic hand tool know-how.

• High school completion is a plus, not mandatory.

Physical demands

• Able to lift and carry loads up to 100 lbs.

• Long stretches of sitting while driving.

• Regular stair climbing.

• Pushing, pulling, bending and twisting to move materials between the truck and the job site.
