About this job
Our company is looking for a DZ Driver to handle daily deliveries out of its Brockville Profit Centre. You'll run local routes, drop off materials at job sites and shops, and pitch in with warehouse tasks when deliveries are quiet.
What you'll do
- Deliver materials to customer job sites and shops, and pick up returns or purchase orders from vendors
- Keep your load secured and drive safely on every trip
- Carry your license, insurance and CVOR paperwork in the truck at all times
- Unload incoming freight when you return to the office
- Keep your vehicle clean
- Help with order picking, shipping and receiving when delivery volume is low, including operating a forklift as needed
- Take on other tasks assigned by your supervisor
Requirements
- At least 3 years of commercial driving experience, including loading and unloading
- Valid DZ license with a clean driving record
- Strong time-management and organizational skills
- Good interpersonal and problem-solving abilities
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs
Nice to have
- Experience with electronic signature capture devices
- Knowledge of plumbing and HVAC products
- Forklift certification
