DZ Delivery Driver — $30.00–$32.00/hr

Our company in Newmarket, ON is looking for a DZ driver who's equally comfortable behind the wheel and working in the shop. You'll handle pickups and deliveries around the GTA, then pitch in on shop tasks when you're not driving.

Pay

• $30.00-$32.00 per hour

• Expected hours: 42.5 per week

What you'll haul

• Pick up and drop off materials at various sites using company trucks

• Load and unload both company and vendor trucks with a truck crane, a forklift, or by hand

• Check that each load is properly secured and balanced before heading out

Shop duties

• When you're off the road, you'll work as a shop laborer

• Tasks include cleaning, organizing, working in the paint booth, grinding and cutting materials

• Perform daily vehicle inspections and keep up with truck maintenance

Requirements

• Valid D driver's license with a clean driving record

• Letter(s) on auto insurance letterhead showing a combined 3 years of experience driving trucks weighing 11,000kg or more

• Comfortable using power tools and doing physical, hands-on work

• Know how to tie down and secure different types of loads, and follow safe driving practices

• Able to lift at least 50lbs

• Good knowledge of downtown Toronto and the GTA

• Strong communication and listening skills, and a team-oriented attitude

• Not required but a plus: a 0-8 Ton Crane Certificate or forklift experience
