About this job
Our company, a family-run business since 1945, needs a DZ driver for ice delivery runs in the Orillia area. The role runs 10 months a year with a guaranteed break every winter, built around a short work week.
Schedule
- Full-time from April through January, with February and March off every year
- Only 3 shifts per week
- Shifts usually start at 7:00 am and can run up to 14 hours depending on the route
- Some overnight runs, with hotel stays and meal allowances covered
Pay
- Starting at $26.00 per hour
What you'll haul
- Ice, delivered to gas stations, convenience stores and grocery stores on set routes
- You'll load and unload product into freezers and handle your route independently
Requirements
- At least 3 years of DZ driving experience
- Valid DZ licence with a clean record
- Able to repeatedly lift 35 lbs
- Live in or be able to commute to the Greater Orillia area
- Dependable, on time and safety-minded
- Forklift experience is a plus but not required
