DZ Cross-Border Truck Driver — Daily Route, CA $25–$27/hr

Run a daily return route hauling automotive parts by box truck between St. Thomas, ON and Port Huron, MI, crossing the border each workday on a fixed Monday to Friday schedule.

Pay

• CA $25 to CA $27 per hour

Schedule

• Monday to Friday

• Start between 8:00 and 8:30 AM, finish between 4:30 and 5:00 PM

• Full-time, permanent position

What you'll haul

• Automotive parts moved between warehouses in St. Thomas, ON and Port Huron, MI

• Straight truck / box truck equipment

• Daily US-Canada border crossings

• Hand loading and unloading of cargo required

• Helping out with warehouse tasks and inventory when time allows

Requirements

• Valid DZ licence (an AZ licence is a plus)

• 4 to 5 years of professional driving experience

• At least 3 years of provable commercial driver insurance history - this is mandatory for insurance approval, and you won't be considered without it

• Clean personal driver's abstract and clean criminal background check

• Valid FAST Card and valid passport

• Fully eligible and willing to cross the US-Canada border every day

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Comfortable with e-log systems and communication tools for cross-border work

• Good verbal and written communication, able to work independently

• Some mechanical know-how for basic truck checks

• Defensive driving certification is a plus

• Able to carry up to 25 lbs regularly and lift up to 100 lbs occasionally, plus bend, kneel, squat and sit for long stretches during the shift

• Expect warehouse and road noise, moving equipment, and changing weather at border crossings
