This seasonal role involves operating a rear pack truck with a mounted crane to collect and transfer waste from MOLOK container systems around Algonquin Park. You'll mostly work independently, with some public interaction while handling collection and on-site waste processing duties.
Pay
- $28.00-$30.00 per hour
Schedule
- Seasonal, full-time contract lasting 4-5 months
- Shift lengths change with the season, and weekend work is part of the rotation
What you'll do
- Safely run rear pack trucks and truck-mounted cranes (up to 8 tonnes) to collect MOLOK containers
- Work mostly solo, with occasional contact with the public during waste collection
- Help process waste materials on-site using standard procedures
- Keep up with paperwork: daily equipment inspections, service logs, transport records and incident reports
Requirements
- High school education or equivalent, with some background in operating trucks and equipment
- Comfortable and capable operating rear pack trucks
- Valid DZ driver's license with a clean driver's abstract
- 0-8 ton crane certification is a plus, not mandatory
- English preferred
