DZ/Class 3 Route Driver — Temporary Contract, $55,435–$73,913/yr

Our company is hiring a temporary contract Route Driver in Chatham-Kent, ON to deliver gas products and hardgoods to local customers using a Class 3/DZ licensed vehicle. You'll handle multiple stops a day, load and unload cylinders, and keep accurate delivery records using handheld devices.

Pay

• Pay ranges from $55,435 to $73,913.

What you'll do

• Make several daily deliveries of gas products and hardgoods in a 5- or 10-ton truck within an assigned local area.

• Load and unload cylinders at each stop.

• Keep cylinder load sheets and daily records balanced and accurate.

• Use handheld technology to process deliveries and reconcile agent consignment inventory.

• Follow all applicable government regulations.

• Keep the vehicle maintained per company policy, follow safety rules, wear required safety gear, and report any hazards to your supervisor.

Requirements

• Valid Class 3 or DZ license with air brake endorsement.

• At least 1 year of driving experience with formal driving school training, or 3 years of driving experience without it.

• Grade 12 education or equivalent experience.

• Clean driving record, available to provide on request.

• Able to lift and handle loads up to 60 lbs.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Nice to have

• Background in the gas or welding industry.

• Comfort using handheld electronic devices.

• WHMIS/TDG certification.
