DZ Boom Truck Operator — $27.00–$35.00/hr

Our company in Nepean, ON needs a DZ-licensed Boom Truck Operator to handle material deliveries and boom truck loading for construction sites. This is a full-time role working with a standard transmission vehicle.

Pay

• $27.00 to $35.00 per hour

What you'll do

• Perform daily circle checks and keep the company vehicle maintained, including greasing the boom and keeping the cab clean

• Check loads and paperwork for correct loading, strapping and documentation

• Fill out all required daily MTO forms

• Deliver and pick up materials safely and on schedule

• Help load and unload outgoing trucks, either by hand or with the boom truck

• Flag any damaged or missing materials or equipment

• Follow the company's health and safety rules and all road laws

• Take on other tasks as assigned by management

Requirements

• High school diploma

• Class D licence with Z air brake endorsement

• Must be comfortable driving standard (manual) transmission

• Boom truck experience preferred

• Clean driver's abstract and good CVOR

• 1-2 years of related experience, ideally in construction

• Reliable and able to work well with a team

• Good verbal and written communication with coworkers, vendors and customers

• 0-8 t crane licence

• Preferred: 1 year of crane operating experience and 3 years of DZ commercial driving experience

• Must be based in the Ottawa area
