DZ/AZ Snowplow Operator — $25.50–$27.00/hr, Paid Training

Our company is hiring DZ/AZ drivers for a seasonal winter road maintenance team in the Greater Sudbury area. No snowplow or AZ/DZ experience is needed since paid training is included, making this a good fit for both new and experienced drivers.

Pay

• $25.50 to $27.00 per hour, depending on whether you hold a DZ or AZ license

• Paid on a bi-weekly basis, with 80 guaranteed hours per pay period

• Travel allowance available for certain worksites, based on distance

• Paid training included

Schedule

• Seasonal, on-call contract

• Shifts include days, evenings, overnights, weekends and holidays

What you'll do

• Drive snowplow and salt trucks to clear snow and ice from roads and assigned areas

• Carry out daily vehicle inspections and safety checks, flagging any defects

• Keep your assigned roads properly and safely plowed

• Follow Ministry of Transportation hours-of-service rules

• Handle basic upkeep like fueling, greasing, fluid top-ups and small repairs

• Pitch in on shoveling, grounds upkeep and other related tasks

• Let your supervisor know about any equipment or operational issues

Requirements

• Valid DZ or AZ license with a clean CVOR and driver's abstract

• No prior AZ/DZ driving experience necessary, training provided

• Able to work varied shifts including nights, weekends and holidays

• Must pass a drug test

• Reliable with good attention to safety
