About this job
Hensall Co-op is hiring a full-time Propane Delivery Driver for its Energy Division, covering routes in Huron County. You'll haul propane to customers using a tandem or tractor-tanker unit while keeping a strong focus on safety and service.
Pay
- $25.00-$31.10 per hour
What you'll haul
- Propane products, delivered to customers using a tandem or tractor and tanker unit
What you'll do
- Get product to customers on schedule
- Complete circle checks, daily logs, delivery invoices and other required paperwork
- Send delivery slips from propane suppliers back to the office promptly and keep your supervisor updated on allocation status
- Track your pickup schedule at the bulk terminal and log the quantity picked up each visit
- Notify dispatch right away if there's any damage to property or your vehicle
- Handle customer and vendor needs with strong service
- Follow terminal loading rules and unload tanker cargo into storage tanks safely and correctly
- Keep your assigned unit on top of its scheduled preventative maintenance
- Take on other tasks as needed
Requirements
- Valid DZ or AZ driver's license with a clean driving abstract
- Solid customer service skills
- Familiarity with the Ontario Highway Traffic Act and the Canada Motor Vehicle Safety Act
- Confident driving in all weather
- Strong verbal and written communication
- Able to stick to a tight schedule
- Know how to respond properly to accidents or incidents
- Basic math skills
