Our company in Duluth, MN needs a dependable Dump Truck Driver for full-time work hauling materials to and from construction sites in St. Louis and Carlton County, MN.
Pay
- Starting at $30.00 per hour for non-prevailing wage work
- Prevailing wage jobs pay according to the prevailing wage and hour rules for that job
- Expected hours range from 20 to 50 per week
What you'll do
- Drive different dump truck models to move and deliver materials
- Load and unload using loaders, excavators, skid steers and similar equipment
- Check your vehicle before and after trips and flag any repair or maintenance needs
- Keep records of your runs, mileage and fuel use
- Stay in touch with dispatch, supervisors and the rest of the crew
- Handle minor vehicle upkeep yourself when needed
- Follow road laws and company safety procedures at all times
Requirements
- Valid driver's license with a clean record
- At least 3 years of driving experience
- Background operating dump trucks or similar vehicles
- Manual transmission endorsement
- Comfortable running heavy equipment like loaders, excavators and skid steers
- Some knowledge of vehicle repair and maintenance
- Strong, safe driving ability across different road conditions
- Self-motivated, punctual and able to work with little oversight
- CDL A preferred
- Must be able to commute to Duluth, MN, or relocate there before starting
