Driver

Our company, a USPS contractor with over 11 years in mail delivery, is looking for a rural mail carrier based out of the Warroad, MN post office. You'll drive your own vehicle on a set route, delivering mail and parcels to homes and businesses.

What you'll do

• Sort mail into delivery order for your route's mailboxes

• Load your vehicle with mail and parcels in delivery sequence

• Drive a planned line-of-travel delivering to customer boxes

• Collect outgoing mail and get signatures as needed

• Handle other administrative tasks as assigned

• Deliver in all weather, though delays can happen

Schedule

• Full-time, Monday through Saturday

• Hours run from 7:37am to 3:30pm

• Route length is 109.8 miles

• Starting point is the post office at 204 Main Ave NE, Warroad, MN 56763

Pay

You're paid under a Guaranteed Wage system: even if you finish your route early, you still get paid for the full scheduled day. Pay is issued every two weeks.

Requirements

• At least 18 years old

• Valid driver's license with two full years of driving history and a clean record

• Able to lift up to 70 lbs

• Able to work outdoors in all weather

• Prior experience preferred

• Your own reliable SUV or larger vehicle, mid-size SUV or minivan or bigger, with at least 120 cubic feet of usable load space; all-wheel or four-wheel drive preferred; any age is fine as long as it runs well

• Liability insurance coverage of $100,000 / $500,000 / $100,000, or $600,000 combined single limit

• You cover your own vehicle's fuel, maintenance and insurance; our company pays a variable mileage reimbursement that adjusts with fuel costs
