DOT Furniture Delivery Driver — Starting at $24.00/hr

Havertys is hiring Furniture Delivery Drivers in Savannah, GA to bring merchandise into customers' homes and set it up. You'll work as part of a two-person crew focused on safety, timeliness and great customer service.

Pay

• Starting at $24.00 an hour, with more offered based on experience.

• Pay is issued daily, and you can draw funds between pay cycles through the Daily Pay Program.

Schedule

• Shifts begin at 7:30 am and run until the day's deliveries are done.

• Expect either 4 days a week at 10+ hours, or 5 days a week at 8+ hours.

• No Sunday work.

What you'll do

• Drive the delivery truck safely and courteously.

• Carry furniture into customers' homes and set it up correctly.

• Stay within scheduled time windows for each stop.

• Record each delivery using a mobile device or paper forms.

• Load and unload items at homes, the store or the warehouse as needed.

• Pitch in at the warehouse or showroom when extra help is needed.

Requirements

• At least 18 years old.

• Valid driver's license with a clean record and few moving violations.

• No prior delivery experience needed; Havertys provides paid training.

• Able to repeatedly push, pull and team-lift up to 150 pounds for the full shift.

• Must pass a physical assessment, background check and drug screening (including THC).

• Required to obtain DOT Certification, paid for by the company.

• On the truck, you'll wear a Havertys uniform along with steel-toed boots and any needed safety gear.
