About this job
Our company is looking for an experienced driver to run tractor-trailers on USA routes out of Calgary, AB, hauling dry van and refrigerated freight. You'll be responsible for safe, on-time deliveries while keeping everything compliant with DOT rules.
Pay
- From $70,600.89 per year
What you'll haul
- Dry van (53') and refrigerated trailers
- Automatic transmission tractor-trailers
Responsibilities
- Drive long-distance routes safely and efficiently
- Load or unload freight when needed
- Keep accurate logs of hours, routes and deliveries per DOT rules
- Complete pre- and post-trip inspections
- Stay on assigned routes while following traffic and safety rules
- Stay in touch with dispatch on schedules and route changes
- Make sure cargo is secured for transit
- Help plan routes for better delivery times and fuel use
Requirements
- Valid Class 1 licence
- At least 2 years of commercial driving experience
- Clean driving record
- Understanding of DOT compliance standards
