Class 1 Flatbed Equipment Delivery Driver — $40–$45/hr

Our company in Grande Prairie, AB needs a Class 1 driver to deliver and pick up construction equipment using flatbed trucks. Pay runs $40.00–$45.00 per hour, with overtime available.

What you'll haul

• A varied fleet of construction gear such as aerial lifts, earth-moving machines and compaction equipment, moved to and from customer sites on flatbed trucks

What you'll do

• Load, unload and tie down equipment following company safety procedures

• Check equipment in transit when needed, and inspect fluid levels and the truck itself

• Fill out pre- and post-trip inspections, logs and timesheets

• Get signed contracts and confirm customers receive the correct equipment

• Show customers basic safe operation of the gear when necessary

• Keep dispatch and your supervisor updated on delays, issues or new sales leads

• Tag and relocate damaged equipment to the repair area, and keep your truck clean

Requirements

• Valid Class 1 license with a clean commercial driving abstract (no more than 3 demerit points); an updated abstract may be requested

• Comfortable driving manual transmission trucks in the city and in all weather

• Able to lift around 50 lbs and stand for extended periods

• Background in securing and transporting heavy construction equipment on flatbed trailers

• Willing to work overtime and join an on-call rotation when needed

• Strong communication, problem-solving and the ability to work independently or as part of a team

• Must currently live in Canada and be legally authorized to work there
