About this job
UFA is hiring a local truck driver based in Dunmore, Alberta to deliver products to farmers, ranchers and businesses across the surrounding trading area. You'll work directly with members and customers while handling deliveries, equipment operation and some yard duties.
What you'll do
- Drive to customer sites throughout the Dunmore trading area, delivering goods safely and on time
- Load, secure and unload freight following transportation and safety rules
- Carry out vehicle inspections before and after trips and keep accurate logs
- Run forklifts and other material handling gear
- Help out with shipping, receiving, inventory and yard tasks between deliveries
- Pitch in on facility upkeep, including seasonal jobs like clearing snow
- Take part in an on-call rotation after hours as needed
Requirements
- Valid Class 1 driver's licence
- Clean driving abstract
- Comfortable lifting and moving items up to 25 kg (55 lbs)
- Basic computer skills
- Must pass a drug and alcohol test, as this is a safety-sensitive role
- Forklift experience and background in agriculture, petroleum or transportation industries are a plus
