About this job
Our company is looking for a courier to drive a company vehicle in La Crosse, WI, picking up and delivering packages while giving customers friendly, reliable service.
Pay
- Starting pay is $21.05 per hour.
Schedule
- Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday, roughly 8am to 5:30pm, though hours can vary.
What you'll do
- Pick up and drop off packages safely and on time.
- Check that shipments match our company's service standards.
- Handle related customer service tasks and other duties as needed.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- A valid license for the vehicle you'll drive, held consistently for the past two years.
- At least 21 years old.
- Able to lift 50 lbs and move heavier packages with equipment or help from a coworker.
- Strong people skills, clear verbal communication, and a neat, professional appearance for customer contact.
- Must meet FMCSA Section 391 driver qualifications, including passing a DOT medical exam, since this is a safety-sensitive role.
- Able to stay alert and work safely throughout your shift.
- Enough English proficiency to read traffic signs, talk with traffic safety officials, and follow official directions per FMCSA rules.
- Must pass a federal drug screen and background check.
