Class 5 P&D Truck Driver — $32.90/hr

Our company needs an experienced pickup and delivery driver for its Yellowknife Service Centre. This is a full-time permanent local job, 40 hours a week, paying $32.90 an hour.

What you'll do

• Run general truckload and LTL freight around town, picking up and delivering on schedule

• Load and unload your trailer, and make sure paperwork is complete and freight is tagged properly

• Use handheld devices, follow all safety rules and look after customers well

• Help with routine terminal upkeep and other tasks the Service Center Manager assigns

Requirements

• A valid Class 5 licence and at least 2 years of commercial driving, including manual transmission

• A current 5 year driver's abstract

• Good knowledge of Yellowknife and the surrounding area; city and highway certification is an asset

• Must live in Yellowknife already and not need work sponsorship in Canada

• Must pass fit for duty testing: physical abilities assessment, drug and alcohol testing and a criminal record check

• Team player with strong attention to detail and a self-starter attitude
