Class 3 Pick-up and Delivery Driver — $34.17/hr, Day Shift, No Weekends

Our company in Cambridge, ON needs a Pick-up and Delivery Driver to move compressed gas cylinders and welding supplies to and from customers. You'll work day shift hours with weekends off, as part of a close-knit team in a strongly safety-focused workplace.

What you'll do

• Plan your route each day based on the delivery list, then drive to customer sites to drop off full cylinders and welding supplies and bring back empties

• Load and unload the truck with your team, following all applicable regulations

• Keep in regular contact with customers, account executives, warehouse staff and customer service

• Check incoming and outgoing cylinders for damage, tag any defective ones with the customer's details, and log problems or complaints in the Quality System

• Produce correct delivery notes and receipts so invoices are accurate, and keep your truck paperwork current (PANDA, TDG, WHMIS records, highway log) per CMS procedures

• Keep your vehicle and equipment clean and in good working order, and flag any mechanical issues to the CMS team right away

• Follow safe practices when handling vehicles, tools, dock plates and tailgates; take part fully in the company's safety program; report hazards or incidents to your supervisor or safety champion; show customers how to store and handle cylinders properly

Requirements

• High school diploma

• Valid Class 3 license with air brake endorsement, and a clean driver's abstract

• At least 2 years in delivery work

• Mechanical aptitude and strong communication skills

• Familiarity with compressed gases and basic welding methods

• TDG certification and MS Office experience are a plus

• Able to repeatedly lift up to 50 lbs
