Class 3 Owner-Operator Truck Driver — $45–$50/hr, Home Daily

WAS Enterprises is looking for an independent business owner to run local pickup-and-delivery routes across the Vancouver Lower Mainland using a 5-ton truck. This is not a typical employee role: it's a contracted partnership that requires you to invest in equipment and manage your own business operations.

Pay

• $45.00-$50.00 per hour, paid on an hourly basis rather than by mile or load weight

• Full-time schedule of 40 to 50 hours per week

Home time

• Day shift Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM

• Weekends off

What you'll haul

• No-touch, dock-to-dock freight only, with no lifting or carrying items over 50 lbs into buildings or residences

• Local city pickup and delivery routes exclusively between commercial loading docks in the Lower Mainland

Requirements

• A minimum $30,000 financial investment is required to acquire the company's available used 5-ton equipment

• A BC National Safety Code (BCNSC) safety certificate, or the ability to obtain one

• Your own ICBC vehicle insurance and approved cargo insurance

• At least 5 years of proven experience driving commercial vehicles with manual transmission and air brakes

• A valid BC Class 1, 3, or Class 5 driver's license with an Air Brake Endorsement, plus a clean commercial driving abstract

• Solid knowledge of Lower Mainland commercial transport routes

• Ability to meet the company's professional Code of Conduct and Service Policy, reviewed at the 6-month mark
