Cornerstone Co-op is looking for a full-time Delivery Driver at the Wainwright Home Centre, reporting to the Yard Supervisor. You'll move Home Centre merchandise to customers and keep deliveries running safely and smoothly.
What you'll do
- Deliver Home Centre products to customers with friendly, professional service
- Drive and operate delivery vehicles and equipment in line with company policy and National Safety Code rules
- Complete vehicle inspections, paperwork and reports to keep equipment safe and compliant
- Load, secure, haul and unload merchandise carefully to avoid damage to goods, property or vehicles
- Help customers place deliveries where needed, using proper lifting and handling techniques
- Keep your delivery vehicle clean and in good shape, and flag any maintenance issues right away
- Fill out driver reports and make sure billing for accounts and deliveries is accurate
- Help with ordering, receiving and inventory checks
- Take part in team safety meetings and other assigned tasks
Requirements
- Valid Class 3 license with air brakes endorsement
- Clean 5-year commercial driver's abstract
- Must pass a pre-employment substance test
- Able to repeatedly lift, carry, stack and pull loads up to 80 lbs
- Comfortable working with multiple stakeholders and across a multigenerational team
- Knowledge of Home Centre products is a plus
