Class 1 Yard Shunt Driver — Benefits from Day 1

Loblaw's Edmonton Distribution Centre needs a Class 1 shunt driver to move trailers around the yard and keep freight flowing between docks. This is a full-time role working outdoors in all weather, as part of a team that supports dispatch and warehouse operations.

What you'll do

• Move semi-trailers to and from the loading docks using a shunt truck

• Maneuver safely in tight spaces, following all required protocols

• Stay in contact with dispatch and warehouse staff throughout your shift

• Check your equipment each shift, including tires, fluids, brakes and lights, and keep it clean

• Log trailer movements in the yard using the onboard electronic system

Requirements

• Valid Class 1 driver's license with a clean driving record

• Shunting experience preferred, ideally 2 years or more

• Good physical condition, since you'll be working outside in all seasons

• Comfortable working independently or alongside a team, and following directions

• Must pass a criminal background check
