Class 1 Truck Driver — Daily Trips, No Overnights

Our company is hiring a Class 1 driver in Edmonton, AB to haul sheet metal skids, coils and pipe locally. This is a day-trip role only, with no overnight routes, running an automatic Western Star day cab with a 48 ft step deck.

What you'll haul

• Sheet metal skids, coils and pipe

• Tarping required for loads

• Automatic Western Star day cab, 48 ft step deck

Schedule

• Daily trips only, no overnight travel

Responsibilities

• Follow safety rules and complete pre-trip inspections

• Keep freight secure and undamaged in transit

• Keep your truck clean and in good condition

• Load and unload, and handle shipping and receiving duties

• Fill out logbooks and paperwork for materials coming in and out

• Communicate professionally with customers and coworkers

• Solve day-to-day issues on your own and work well as part of a team

Requirements

• Class 1 license with Air Brake (Q) endorsement

• At least 3 years of driving experience

• Clean 10-year driver's abstract, required at time of application

• Steel toe boots required on the job

• Strong communication, time management and basic computer skills

• Comfortable making decisions and solving problems independently
