Our company in Montague, PE is looking for a dependable Class 1 driver to haul freight across Canada and the USA. You'll be on the road full-time, working closely with dispatch to keep deliveries on schedule.
What you'll do
- Drive commercial trucks on long and short hauls, following all traffic and safety rules
- Load and unload cargo, using a forklift or other equipment as needed, and make sure it's secured properly
- Check your vehicle before, during and after each trip to catch maintenance or safety concerns
- Keep accurate records of deliveries, logs and vehicle upkeep
- Stay in touch with dispatchers, warehouse teams and customers to coordinate schedules and sort out any issues on the road
Requirements
- Valid Class 1 CDL with a clean driving record
- Prior commercial driving experience, ideally hauling freight
- Familiarity with freight handling and safety procedures
- Organized, detail-oriented approach to paperwork and compliance
Pay
$50,000.00-$85,000.00 per year
