Class 1 Delivery Truck Driver — $27–$30/hr

Our company, a family-owned glass maker in Borden-Carleton, PE, needs a Class 1 driver to move glass products through Atlantic Canada and down into Maine and New Hampshire. You'll run both straight trucks and tractors and handle a forklift to move fragile glass racks on and off the trailer. This is a full-time, in-person role.

Pay

• $27.00 to $30.00 per hour

• Overtime kicks in once you pass 44 hours in a week

Home time

• Runs Monday through Friday, and most trips get you back home the same day or within a couple of days

• A few routes stretch longer, up to 5 days for the once-a-month St. John's trip, with room to wrap up sooner if the delivery schedule cooperates

What you'll haul

• Glass racks that call for careful handling, planning and unloading

• Lanes covering Saint John, Moncton, Summerside, Charlottetown, Bathurst, Halifax, Cape Breton, Bridgewater/Digby, Northern NB, Maine/New Hampshire, Rimouski, and St. John's (reached via Port aux Basques)

• You'll run Freightliner straight trucks, International tractors and Moffett forklifts

Requirements

• Valid Class 1 license

• Preferably 3 years behind the wheel with a Class 1

• Forklift experience is a plus but not a must

• High school education preferred

• Comfortable communicating in English

• Able to be on the road full time
