About this job
Our company, an Amazon delivery service partner, needs delivery drivers in Durham, NC for Monday through Thursday routes. You'll drive an Amazon-branded van to deliver packages, starting work around 9:20am so you can finish earlier in the day.
Pay
- Base pay starts from $22.00 per hour
- Guaranteed pay for 10 hours even if you finish sooner
- Extra efficiency bonus for completing your route in under 10 hours
- $25 per bag if you help rescue a route that's fallen behind
- Paid weekly by direct deposit, with yearly raises
What you'll haul
- Amazon packages, delivered from a company-branded van
- Rural routes average 140-170 stops; suburban routes average 170-200 stops
Requirements
- Must be at least 21 with a valid driver's license in the state you'll work in
- Able to safely operate a large delivery vehicle without damage
- Comfortable using basic handheld scanning technology
- Own reliable transportation and a way to be reached
- Must pass a drug screening (marijuana excluded for pre-employment testing)
- Physically able to climb stairs, walk long driveways, and work outdoors in any weather
- Willing to maintain safe driving habits and delivery accuracy, both tracked by onboard systems (training provided)
