About this job
Our company operates across Canada and the US, hauling freight for major Fortune 500 clients. This Cornwall, ON role is for a Class 1 team driver on long-haul routes, running a newer, well-maintained fleet.
What you'll haul
- Reefer and dry van trailers
Requirements
- Valid Class 1 driver's license
- No more than 2 demerit points on your commercial abstract
- No suspensions on record
- Clean criminal record
- Comfortable handling reefer and dry van equipment
What you'll do
- Drive a Class 1 tractor-trailer combination
- Stay in contact with customers, dispatch, management and the safety team
- Keep accurate, current log books
- Carry out pre-trip inspections and safety checks
