About this job
Our company runs regional freight across Canada and the US for major Fortune 500 clients, based out of Cornwall, ON. They're hiring Class 1 drivers for a newer fleet with a steady 5-6 day schedule and fair mileage distribution.
What you'll haul
- Reefer, dry van and container trailers
Schedule
- 5-6 day work week with a focus on home and work life balance
- Open to both single drivers and teams
Requirements
- Valid Class 1 (AZ) license
- At least 1 year of tractor-trailer highway driving experience
- Clean abstract with no more than 2 demerits
- Mountain driving experience is a plus, not mandatory
- Safety-focused, positive attitude
What you'll do
- Drive a Class 1/AZ tractor-trailer combination
- Keep in touch with dispatch, customers, managers and the safety team
- Keep accurate, current logbooks
- Carry out pre-trip inspections and safety checks
