About this job
Our company in Calgary, AB needs a Class 1 driver for a fixed regional route, running freight to Dominos pizza stores and back on a set weekly schedule.
Routes and schedule
- Route runs Calgary, Blairmore, Fernie, Cranbrook, Kimberley, Nelson, Castlegar and Trail BC, year round on the same stores.
- You'll make 2 trips a week, working 4 days with 3 days off (Sunday, Monday, Thursday).
- Expect to sleep away from home at least 2 nights a week.
Pay
- $28.00 per hour.
What you'll haul
- Freight delivered to Dominos pizza store locations along the route.
- Loading and unloading is done with a pallet jack or other equipment.
Requirements
- Valid Class 1 license with a clean driving record.
- 2 years of commercial driving experience, including at least 1 year of mountain driving.
- No more than 3 demerits or negative events on your 5-year commercial abstract.
- Comfortable with freight handling and load securement.
- Able to communicate clearly with dispatch, warehouse staff and clients, and to follow detailed instructions.
- Physically able to manage loading, unloading and long hours on the road.
- Willingness to handle basic mechanical troubleshooting on the road when needed.
