About this job
Our company, a Canadian transportation, warehousing and logistics company with terminals across the country, is hiring a Class 1 peddle driver in Brandon, MB. You will run freight from the terminal out to nearby Manitoba communities and be home every day.
The work
- Deliver dry or temperature-controlled freight to surrounding towns and city stops
- Expect physical work: tailgate skid moving, hand bombing and wheeling freight in
- Many stops a day, with regular climbing in and out of tractors and trailers
Schedule and pay
- Monday to Friday, home daily, starting at 7:00 am and finishing when the run is done
- 50+ hours a week, with overtime once you pass 60 hours in a week
- $60,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
- No USA miles
What you need
- Class 1 or AZ licence with airbrake endorsement, in good standing
- Comfortable working on your own and experienced in all kinds of pickup and delivery
- Proven freight handling skills, a safety-first approach and a professional attitude
- The application asks whether you can drive a manual 13 or 18 speed transmission
