Class 1 Local Truck Driver — $23–$25/hr

Our company is hiring a Class 1 truck driver for day shift pick-up and delivery work around Charlottetown, PE. You'll handle multiple regional stops, working independently while keeping customers and dispatch informed.

Pay

• $23.00–$25.00 per hour

What you'll haul

• Regional freight pick-ups and deliveries at multiple stops within and around Charlottetown

Requirements

• Valid Class 1 license with a clean driver's abstract

• At least 2 years behind the wheel of a tractor-trailer

• Comfortable driving manual transmission trucks, recent experience preferred

• Solid familiarity with local and regional routes

• Able to work independently and manage your own schedule

• Experience with freight handling and handheld scanning devices is a plus

Responsibilities

• Load and unload freight carefully and accurately

• Keep up with paperwork and scanning on handheld devices

• Communicate with dispatch and customers to keep deliveries on time

• Keep your assigned truck clean and in good basic condition
