Class 1 Heavy Haul Driver — Cross-Border Oilfield Transport

Our company in Leduc, AB needs a full-time Class 1 Heavy Haul Driver to run a Kenworth hauling drilling, completion and production equipment across Western Canada and down into the US. You'll handle oversized and overweight loads on the approved route between Edmonton and the Permian Basin in West Texas.

What you'll haul

• Tractor with lowboy and multi-axle equipment trailers

• Over-dimensional and overweight loads on permitted lanes in Western Canada and the Canada/US corridor to West Texas

What the job involves

• Loading, unloading and securing equipment for transport

• Daily pre-trip inspections and safety checks, flagging mechanical concerns to the Branch Manager

• Using phone or tablet-based apps for job tracking

• Keeping the truck clean and professional, and returning it fueled up at the yard each day

• Pitching in to help other employees as needed

• Operating within Hours of Service limits, with time off coordinated through the Branch Manager; paid HOS resets on the road include a hotel room

Requirements

• Valid Class 1 license with 5 years of driving experience

• At least 3 years of cross-border heavy haul experience

• Canadian citizen or permanent resident, legally able to work in the US

• Clean driver's abstract and a current, clear criminal record check

• Comfortable operating a forklift and other heavy equipment

• Able to work solo or as part of a team

• Clean-shaven and professional in appearance and conduct

• Heavy haul and hydraulic platform experience preferred; oilfield winch truck experience is a plus
