Class 1 Flatdeck Truck Driver — $80,000–$110,000/Year

Our company, an Alberta-based flat deck carrier marking 35 years in business, is adding Class 1 drivers to haul freight across Western Canada and the Northwestern US. Multiple schedules are available, from short-haul and regional runs to long haul, and you'll run a dedicated truck instead of slip seating.

What you'll haul

Loads come from more than 750 customers and include pipe, steel, construction equipment, lumber, commercial building products and other diverse commodities, giving you steady, year-round work.

Pay

• $80,000.00-$110,000.00 per year

• Paid weekly every Friday by direct deposit

• Extra pay for mileage-related services such as loading, unloading, tarping, strapping, layover and oversize/overdimensional loads

• Annual bonus up to $5,900 based on mileage and driver performance

Choose from short haul, regional or long haul schedules, so there's an option whether you want to stay close to home or run longer distances.

Requirements

• Class 1 licence, manual transmission experience required

• At least 2 years of verifiable manual transmission tractor-trailer experience

• Load securement experience (around 1 year) is a plus, but training is provided

• Tarping experience is a plus, but training is provided

• Winter and mountain driving experience as a Class 1 driver is helpful

• Comfortable using electronic logs and following hours-of-service rules

• Strong customer service, route planning and time management skills

• A safety-focused, professional attitude

• A passport is preferred if you're applying for a position that includes US runs

• Company policy does not allow passengers or pets in the truck
