Our company Ltd. in Leduc, AB is hiring an experienced Class 1 flatdeck/stepdeck driver for steady, year-round freight. Most runs stay in Western Canada, with occasional trips east.
Pay
- $25.00-$30.00 per hour
- Expected hours: 40.0 to 60.0 per week
What you'll haul
- Flatdeck and/or stepdeck trailers pulled by a Class 1 tractor
- Loads moving mainly within Western Canada, with occasional long hauls to Eastern Canada
Requirements
- Valid Class 1 driver's licence
- Hands-on experience hauling flatdeck and/or stepdeck freight, including securing loads with chains, binders, straps and tarps
- Solid grasp of Hours of Service rules and ELD use
- Clean driver's abstract and a good safety history
- Comfortable working independently, adjusting to schedule changes, and staying in touch with dispatch, shippers and receivers
- Dependable, on time and professional on the road

- Driving safely and securing freight properly before and during each trip
- Running pre-trip and post-trip inspections
- Keeping logs and paperwork accurate and up to date
- Following provincial and federal transport rules
- Keeping your truck and trailer clean and well cared for
- Taking ownership of getting loads delivered safely and on schedule
