Class 1 Flatdeck Driver — Canada or Canada/US Routes

Our company, an Alberta-based flat deck carrier marking 35 years in business, is adding Class 1 flatdeck drivers in Blackfalds, AB. You can choose Canada-only runs or Canada/US routes, with short haul, regional and long haul schedules available.

What you'll haul

You'll move varied flatbed commodities such as pipe, steel, construction equipment, lumber and commercial building products, with steady work year round from more than 750 customers. You'll run a dedicated truck with no slip seating.

Pay

Annual pay runs $80,000.00-$110,000.00. You're paid weekly by direct deposit every Friday, and on top of base pay you get mileage plus for loading, unloading, tarping, strapping, layover and oversized/overdimensional loads. There's also an annual bonus of up to $5900 tied to mileage and driver performance, plus paid training.

Requirements

• Class 1 licence, manual transmission

• At least 2 years of verifiable experience driving a manual tractor-trailer

• Load securement experience (about 1 year) is a plus, but training is provided

• Winter and mountain driving experience as a Class 1 driver is a plus

• Tarping experience helps but isn't required - they'll train you

• Comfortable with electronic logs and hours-of-service rules

• Strong route planning, time management and customer service skills

• A passport if you're applying for a Canada/US route

• Able to follow the company's no-passenger, no-pet policy
