About this job
Our company Company, a concrete foundation business in Central Alberta, needs a flexible, on-call Class 1 driver to run end-dump and live-bottom trucks. This role suits semi-retired or retired drivers who want to stay active with as-needed shifts.
Pay
- $28.00-$36.00 per hour
- Final pay and benefits depend on your experience and get worked out in person
What you'll haul
- Gravel, aggregates and construction materials between job sites, pits and suppliers
- You'll run end-dump and live-bottom (live floor) trailers
- Expect to dump and unload on uneven, active construction sites
Schedule
- On-call, flexible hours
- Saturday work may be needed
- Some jobs may require travel out of town or out of province
Requirements
- Valid Class 1 licence
- At least 3 years of Class 1 driving experience, including gravel and aggregate hauling
- Clean 3-year commercial driver's abstract
- Comfortable with manual transmission
- Experience running end-dump and/or live-bottom trailers
- Construction or concrete industry background helps
- WHMIS and Ground Disturbance training
- Must pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test
- Able to lift up to 45kg and work outdoors in all weather
