Class 1 Delivery Driver — $30.12/hr, Monday–Friday

Our company is hiring a Class 1 delivery driver in Winnipeg, MB to bring food and food service products to customers on a weekday day shift. You will drive a tractor trailer or straight truck, deliver and unload orders, and represent the company with customers.

Pay and schedule

• $30.12 per hour

• Monday to Friday, 6:00am to 4:00pm

What you'll do

• Inspect your tractor/truck and trailer before and after each trip and report any safety issues or repairs

• Confirm freight is properly loaded and secured, and check counts against customer invoices

• Run your assigned delivery route on schedule, which may include local, over-the-road, shuttle, overnight and drive-and-drop runs

• Unload product and bring it into the customer's storage area, check for damage, scan items and get signatures

• Collect cash or cheques when required and load customer returns

• Keep hours-of-service logs and complete all freight paperwork

• Keep the cab, dock area and trailer tidy and secure your equipment at end of shift

Requirements

• 2 or more years of commercial driving experience

• Age 21 or older, with a high school diploma/GED or equivalent

• Required licensing for your province and a clean driving record for the past 3 years

• Pass a criminal background check and a road test

• Able to lift and move cases with a two-wheeler, lift gate or by hand, typically 10-35 lbs and up to roughly 60-90 lbs depending on the stop
