Class 1 Cross-Border Truck Driver — Calgary, AB Start

Our company is hiring a Class 1 Company Driver to run Canada-U.S. freight out of Calgary, AB. This is a full-time role with a 4-5 day week, typically Sunday through Thursday or Friday, with possible weekend coverage and night driving.

Schedule

• Full-time, 4-5 days per week, Sunday to Thursday or Friday (weekend coverage may be needed)

• Night driving included

• Start times vary

• Be ready for some flexibility around overtime, weekends and overnight runs as operations require

What you'll haul

• Freight moving on Canada-U.S. routes starting from Calgary, AB

• You'll run a tractor-trailer, handling both deliveries and pickups at customer sites

What the job involves

• Driving safely and professionally on cross-border runs

• Pre-trip and post-trip inspections covering tires, brakes, lights and how the load is secured, with any problems reported to maintenance right away

• Filing accurate paperwork: e-logs, inspection reports, delivery records and incident reports

• Staying on top of hours-of-service rules and company safety procedures

Requirements

• Valid Class 1 license

• At least 1 year of verifiable Class 1 driving experience

• Clean 5-year commercial driving abstract (no more than 3 demerits and 3 negative events)

• Valid FAST card or TWIC card

• Mountain driving experience required

• Equipment must be no older than 6 years

• At least 1 year of cross-border driving experience, plus valid documentation to legally enter the United States

• Bondable and legally eligible to work in Canada

• Solid grasp of road safety rules, hours-of-service limits and load securement

• Experience driving commercial vehicles in winter conditions

• Comfortable completing eLogs, inspection reports and delivery paperwork

• Able to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and up to 75 lbs when needed

• Good customer service and communication skills with a safety-first mindset
