About this job
Our company is looking for a Vacuum Truck Operator to join its Vacuum Truck Services team in Winnipeg, MB. You'll handle a mix of industrial services including hydro excavating, confined space work, spill response, line flushing, power washing, and hauling water and other fluids or materials.
What you'll do
- Operate vacuum equipment safely in industrial settings
- Carry out hydro excavating, confined space entry, spill cleanup, line flushing, power washing and fluid/material hauling
- Fill out pre-trip inspections and driver logs to stay compliant with NSC rules
- Keep thorough records of the work you complete
- Take part in safety meetings, near-miss reporting and job hazard reviews
- Handle minor equipment upkeep and work independently while managing your own schedule
Requirements
- Valid Manitoba Class 1 or Class 3 driver's licence with air brake endorsement if required
- At least 2 years of industrial vacuum truck or hydro-excavating experience, combo unit experience preferred
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Comfortable in an industrial, safety-focused environment
- Good physical health to handle the job's demands
- Available for occasional after-hours calls and some overnight travel
- Tickets like First Aid/CPR, CSTS, TDG and H2S Alive are a plus
