Class 1/3 Vac Truck Operator — Full-Time, Home Near Bonnyville, AB

Our company is hiring Class 1 and Class 3 operators in Bonnyville, Alberta to run vac trucks, tankers, steamers and pressure trucks on a full-time basis. They're prioritizing local Bonnyville-area candidates and welcome applicants who don't have experience on every type of equipment listed.

What you'll haul

• Equipment includes Semi-Vac, Combo-Vac, Straight-Vac, Tanker, Steamer and Pressure Trucks

• You won't need hands-on time with all of these units to be considered

What the job involves

• Pre- and post-trip inspections, routine upkeep and basic housekeeping on your unit, flagging any problems to your supervisor

• Keeping up with logs, dispatch paperwork, trip reports and timesheets on schedule

• Following DOT rules, hazardous materials regulations and all local, provincial and federal compliance standards

• Delivering strong customer service and representing the company well on every job

• Working safely and in line with company environmental and safety guidelines at all times

Requirements

• Valid Class 1 license with 3-5 years running Semi Vac, Combo Vac, Straight Vac, Tanker, Steamer and/or Pressure Trucks, OR a valid Class 3 license with 3-5 years on Combo Vac, Straight Vac, Steamer and/or Pressure Trucks

• Experience with ELD logbooks

• Current H2S Alive, First Aid and CSO certifications

• Clean commercial driver's abstract

• Able to pass drug and alcohol testing (Vertex covers this)

• Good physical health to handle the job's demands

• Self-motivated and able to manage your own time and output

• Reliable, trustworthy, and open to occasional out-of-town assignments when needed

Nice to have

• Class 1 Super B experience

• CSTS 2020, Fall Protection, and Confined Space Entry & Monitor tickets
